About

We are Studio Buoy, a versatile architecture, interiors and design practice.

We work across a range of sectors including cultural, commercial, and residential. Offering each client a bespoke end-to-end service from concept right through to construction.

While our projects vary in scale – from an intricate set of shelves, to multi-storey buildings – they’re always driven by the same desire. To create unique, functional spaces which enhance the experience of those that use them.

Boyeon Hamilton
Designer + Founder

Boyeon started out as a designer in award-winning interior and architecture firms including Universal Design Studio and HMKM, working on large scale international projects for fashion brands, department stores and cultural institutions.

She combines a passion for creating seamless spatial experiences with an extensive knowledge of the detail and craftsmanship required to translate the idea from the page to the finished article.

This same passion extends to her design research and installation works. She is the co-founder of the multidisciplinary design studio Playdate Office.

Our Approach

We start every project with a blank canvas. Using our four step concept-led design process, we partner with you to create an unparallelled space which complements its surroundings and benefits your end user.

(1) We develop the overarching narrative balancing your personality and objectives with the needs of those who’ll use the space.

(2) We translate that narrative into the design, with a particular focus on spatial organisation, materials and forms .

(3) We get specific with technical detailing to shape you a unique, finely crafted yet practical space.

(4) We oversee the on-site construction, collaborating with exceptionally skilled craftsmen and contractors to deliver projects to the highest quality.
